There has been a lot going on lately at the Simonds household. Enjoy the story of the past week of our lives and make sure to scroll through to see all the new pictures. Cooper seems to be doing much better since he has gotten rid of the thrush in his mouth. He is now a popsicle addict, but I can think of much worse things to be addicted to.
Mimi went home today. We had a great visit. She was able to get in town for Memaw’s 88th birthday, help keep Cooper, and help host a shower for my cousin at my house. It almost felt like summer, except that I actual had to work!
Here are our new monkey jammies and what else do you do in your monkey jammies besides JUMP ON THE BED :)
Last Thursday, last minute, we decided to meet the Brewers and the Arnetts for some fun in the park. We were off for Bible Study last Monday and I start to have withdrawal if I don’t see everyone. The kids had so much fun playing on the equipment, flying the kite, and then eating some Mexican food. Cooper got a little attached to Brady’s backpack. Looks like we need to get one and let Cooper carry his own diaper bag. Man, that would be nice.
Friday at daycare was Rodeo dress up day. Cooper got to wear his cowboy boots, just like PawPaw to school with his new plaid shirt. He was very excited.
Friday afternoon, we all met at Clear Creek for our first baseball game. Cooper had fun hanging out, running up and down the stands, hanging on the fence, and watching them throw & hit the ball!
As many of you know from my last blog, Brad Wims lost his battle with cancer. There was a fun run that was previously set up as a benefit run and now doubled as a memorial run. All the proceeds went to help the Wims family. Cooper had fun riding in the stroller and even pushing the stroller. Scott ran and came in 68th place. Way to go DAD!
I told you we have been busy, and I wasn’t kidding. Sunday we had a shower for my cousin. It was fun to get to see everyone and I love getting to host things at my house. Instead of a cake, we had cupcakes. Yes, I know, Cooper LOVES cupcakes. He got to try his first does of Memaw’s famous punch and ate TWO cupcakes. Congrats to Leslie and Josh, they are getting married this summer, July 11th.
Well, y’all have a great week. Spring Break is next week and we already have plans to go to the ZOO, go to the Ag-venture at the Livestock Show and Rodeo, go to the Brewer’s to hang out, and head over to Armand Bayou on Saturday to hear the Dulcimer band. Cooper likes all types of music and instruments.
