Maybe not Roseola, but STILL sick.

I took Cooper back to the Dr. today when his temp reached 102.2 and he now has diarhea. By the time that we got him to the Dr., Cooper's right ear was draining pretty bad. This is the first time that either ear has drained since his tubes on 1/23. The doctor did not think that he had Roseola based on his current symptoms. He quite possibly has a virus, but just might not be Roseola because the rash is not the usual Roseola rash and he still has a fever. The fever associated with Roseola usually breaks when the rash shows up. When the Dr. looked in Cooper's ears, she noticed that the left ear tube was blocked and the ear was bulging. The right ear has drainage. She was not sure if the ears were infected due to the virus or if the two are unrelated. FRUSTRATING! SO, Cooper is on ear drops for the possible bacteria infections in both ears. She did not want to give him oral antibiotics due to his diarhea. For now, it will just be the drops. He had a 101.9 temp. when I was putting him down to bed. I just hate medicating him ever 4 hours. But, we have to if the fever is not going away! SO, Pray for little Cooper. Scott is going to stay home with him tomorrow.

If you don't want to give Cooper tylenol every 4 hours, you could ask your doctor about using Motrin. It is also a fever reducer and is given every 8 hours. Not sure which is the best in this situation.
