Little yellow jaundice man

After staying in the hospital from Monday until Thursday morning, we went home Thursday afternoon. Scott was most thrilled about going home since he basically slept on a chair for four days! However, the nursery told us that we should make an appointment for Friday to see the pediatrician since Cooper's bilirubin count was high, 12. We went to Dr. Binder on Friday and got a test done. Cooper at this point has gotten his poor little heel stuck so many times in the hospital and now we had to go do it again. The results came back with a 16 level. Not good, we needed the levels to be coming down. So, the last resort before going back to the hospital was to check his levels again on Sat. So, mom, dad and Cooper headed back to be pricked. Still elevated levels. So, on Saturday around 5 pm, we had to take Cooper back to the hospital. I, hormones raging, was sad to have to take little Cooper back. God, however, had been looking over us. My mom was scheduled to arrive on Sat. and she was able to help get all the things that we needed at the hospital, take care of the dogs, bring food, etc. Cooper had to be put under the bili lights for 24 hours. The worst part was that he could not be taken out of the lights, he had to be feed in the "cage". Also, he had to wear a little mask to protect his eyes. In addition, we had to feed him every 2 hours...which makes for a long night...feed, clean, sleep an hour, repeat!!! But, we got to leave Monday morning. Scott was awesome. He stayed in the hospital every night. Even with the chair for a bed. And, he even went to work on Monday morning after being up every 2 hours.
