Saturday, we decided to meet Lawson and Julia at the Boardwalk. Carrie was out of town for a funeral and Scott was out of town for a Volleyball Clinic…So, we ventured out. It is always better to keep the kids entertained while there is only one parent at home. First, we went on the train. It started to rain a little, so we headed into Joe’s Crab Shack for a little lunch. It was lots of fun. Coop fell asleep in the car on the way home.
After, Coops 3+ hour nap, we called Memaw to see if she was up for a visit. She is always eager to see us. We packed a sack dinner and headed up to Pasadena. Memaw’s house is so fun. First of all, Memaw loves to get Cooper laughing and she ALWAYS has lots of ice cream. We started the evening with a visit from Pam and Gary. Cooper always thinks that Pam and Gary should be there if Memaw is there. I can’t think of a time that we have seen Memaw and they have not been there…so that was nice to see them. After they left for a prior dinner obligation, Memaw wooed Cooper with some ice cream. YUMMY YUM YUM! We then explored all the great things hiding in the cabinets. Cooper found some lights that turn on when you press the center.
We then played with the miniature tea set and Cooper served Memaw and I lots of coffee. He even cooked us some cookies. Cooper finished the evening by jumping all over Memaw’s couch and saying Boo to her. Like any mother, she played right along and acted scared…even the 30th time that he yelled boo. Memaw, again once having little kids, did not pull the awesome present out from Paula until right as we were leaving. We saved it until we got home. A NEW BASKETBALL! YIPPEE! Cooper showed off his skills with his new basketball. THANKS, PAULA!
